Though this album was released in 1986, it appears to have been recorded sometime late in the 1982-1983 season. Bassist Tom Barney, who joined the trimmed-down SNL Band in the fall of 1983, is here, as well as the horn players who left the show around that time. It is a collection of tunes recorded for the show.
