Alex Foster, saxophone

Alex Foster played alto saxophone in the SNL Band from 1985-1991, took a four year break (with George Young filling the chair during that time), and was invited to return for the 1995-1996 season. Alex has been active in music since the early 70's. His recording credits have included his own albums, Beginnings... Goodbye (released in 1992) and Pool of Dreams (2007) and such platinum records as Michael Bolton's The Hunger and Paul Simon's Graceland. He is also music director for the Mingus Big Band.
