7601 and 7689

The 7600-7694 series, delivered during the summer of 1938, were the first Yellow Coaches with Detroit Diesel engines. No other 1203's were ever built. Some of the 7600's later received an elaborate yellow and cream paint scheme with red stripes and a gray roof (right). This was also used on later Coordinated buses until the war interfered, while Interstate buses were red and cream in a simpler arrangement (left). (Motor Bus Society Collection)
