Dave Mackey's School Bus Gallery

New: February 19, 2002

Has Dave lost his mind? A SCHOOL BUS Gallery?

Not quite, if you know me from my childhood days. School buses were the major contributing factor to my bus mania growing up.

Eventually, I went to studying the big transit and cruiser buses, but I still feel the excitement when the big yellow school bus lumbers down our street taking the kids to school each morning.

Herewith, a new gallery. To start, we have gathered mostly pictures taken at the NJ State School Bus Roadeo on May 1, 1999. Eventually we will find other pictures and we will post them here. The gallery will be sorted by manufacturer.

Blue Bird Body Co., Fort Valley, GA Wayne NJ BOE 103 (115599 bytes) Lower Cape May (NJ) 31(166865 bytes)

(Note: Certain coaches manufactured by this company bore a Crown nameplate. Please be advised that these "Crown" buses are in no way related to the popular Crown school buses manufactured in California. Carpenter actually manufactured these buses in the former Wayne plant in Richmond, IN.)
